Challenge

Water mains along Gage Street Between Branch Street and Cross Street experience low pressures during high flow events, and approximately 3,000 ft of water main replacement is required at this section of Gage Street and Frank and Cross Streets.

Solution

The work will include trenching, removal of the existing asphalt and subbase, installation of water main, thrust blocks, hydrants, curb stops, service lines with the town ROW, installation of roadway base and pavement patch and associated site work in accordance with the contract plans and specifications.

Results

Since the DWSRF program requires the town to pass a bond vote before the projects are funded, MSK presented the case for a positive vote to the Town Select Board during a public information hearing in Jan 2023.
